So it was just after 10:00pm and I heard a pretty big crash, almost like someone drove into my house.

I open the door to find a car sitting where my mailbox was. By the time I got my phone, the dumb bitch had driven off and into someone else's yard, leaving this:

Fortunately, the cops were in the neighborhood and they stopped her a couple blocks away. If she didn't go to jail for drunk driving, she went for hit and run. The wrecker is there right now hooking up her very fucked up car.

Looks like I'm getting me a new mailbox courtesy of some dumb bitch.

Damn! I guess the bright side is that it was your mailbox that first slowed her down and not some late night jogger.

Hell, there's a lot of families in the neighborhood that let their urchins stay out that late. I'm just glad it wasn't a kid.

Oh, and it was oil and coolant both. She drove a good 4 or 5 blocks. That car is toast.

Glad not only that it wasn't a kid but your or anyone else's house!!

A drunk driver hit Joel's brother's house and stopped inches from where their daughter was sleeping. It was a miracle she wasn't hurt. Stupid fucking drunks...

It was a newer compact car. I think it was a Cobalt but I can't be sure. When I get the police report next week, I'll know all the details.

As far as the driver, I don't know. I'll get her details too when the police release the report.

Are you gettin' the option to press charges or anything? I'm not sure how that works cos I've never known anyone whose mailbox was violated like that

Yup. Since the mailbox is for my neighbor and myself, we're both pressing charges. :yeah:
