Intercooler question

I am soon going to be in the market for an intercooler but where is the best place to find one cheap and also will any intercooler work as long as the dimensions are the same as I need? The reason I ask is I am sure I can find a use one off of a trashed import for cheap.

Or you could do it right and get one designed for your application. You will cause more problems halfassing than if you got the right parts in the first place.
