Even with the addition of T.O the Cowboys won't make the playoffs. Not when they release the biggest part of our running game in Larry Allen. No matter how much you want to complain about him, he does open up a hole for Julius Jones. Without Allen how is Bledsoe supposed to get the ball to T.O, sounds like there will be some complaining out of him.
On the Defensive side of the ball La'Roi Glover has been realeased, Dat Nguyen retired and Roy Williams can't do it all by himself. Instead of pouring all the money into T.O, Jerry Jones should have sunk it into a safety or linebacker, there were plenty on the market.
Prediction: the Cowboys will most likely finish third again. The Giants have kept there team the same as last year. The Redskins have added Antaawn Randle El at WR and Adam Archuleta at Safety. And if Donovan Mcnabb is healthy the Eagles could return to where they were before T.O.

Well, I'm not a TO fan, but I really like what the team has done otherwise...
TO will be an immediate impact on the field, so long as he doesn't cause problems in the locker room. Losing Larry Allen does create a hole, but I believe it can be filled by the depth of the team, and putting a new contract on an aging Larry Allen under the Salary Cap era would have been foolish economics. If the cap was not in effect, Allen would not have been released.
The Cowboys did a very good job during free agency to bolster the Defensive Line, and Demarcus Ware will be a larger impact player this year. The offensive line IS the biggest question mark, but if we have the depth I think we do - we should be fine.
...and adding Vanderjact? The most accurate kicker in NFL History? How many games would we have won last year with a good kicker?
Redskins will be a flash in the pan. Salary Cap is maxed, and lots of extra money comes due next year. If the Skin's don't get it done this year, it will be a while before they have a team to do it with again, as free agency will decimate the team during the next off season. ...but they should be great this year.
Giants had some lucky breaks this year, and is a solid foundation of a team. I think they have the ability with the core to be an annual threat. I think we have the same ability within the conference.
The Eagles won't be much better this year than last. McNabb is overrated, and has been rattled. His team has been picked as a result of free agency. I don't see them as much of a threat.
I can't predict what will happen this year. On paper, the Skins should win the division and we should be second, which might put is in line for a wildcard slot. I don't expect a Super Bowl this year, but IF T.O. proves not to be a huge distratction, we have the core here to build on and a salary structure that has been very well planned for to avoid cap issues down the road. The Cowboys should only get better as we build on the core.

I agree. TO is getting paid and in a big way. That is what he wants. I have a very good feeling that he will keep his mouth shut and play ball.
This is going to be a very exciting season for the Cowboys.

I've heard people likening TO and the C'boys to Dennis Rodman and the Mavs..
Any thoughts?

Rodman was a one trick pony, TO is a total athlete. Rodman never had more than a one year contract, TO has a multi year lock. Rodman is a freak. TO is a PITA, but does not dress up in women's underwear. No real similarities there.
