ahh who cares
36 bars
30 PI's issued
I could have told you there's almost always one guy that deserves a PI in every bar.
Whoopty fucky doo. They just want to do their jobs.
even if there job is pretty retarded.
PI doesn't mean anything, it's a misdemeanor and they don't have to prove anything to get their money. The only real question is if they even deserved it.
Hell the Allen cops sit accross the street and just pull ppl over when they leave the bar. I'm all for less drunks on the road, but it normally looks more like they want to constitute their jobs than anything else.

The first sting operation was conducted recently in a Dallas suburb where agents infiltrated 36 bars

Classified covert ops.... combined with top notch detective skills!!
fuck the crack, whores, autotheft, and general street activity....
Lets fuck with those contributing to the economy... inside of a controlled environment.
While I may not agree, I would never bitch about following cars out of the parking lot...
But going inside??
There are MANY more important areas in need of attention...
Most bars have bouncers and a phone, in case assistance is needed.

The problem I see is this. What about the people in the bar there to get hammered that have a DD. That seems like calling someone guilty before they are give a trial. I just don't see how they can get away with it. The law is the law, and last time I checked it wasn't PI while you were inside the bar. Technically you haven't done anything wrong until you have left premisis. Guess its just their version of interpretation to the law. Anyone with any legal expirience care to comment?

As much as I think it sucks ass...it IS against the law to be drunk in public, and bars are public places. Until the law changes then TABC has the power to arrest you.
It royally sucks though...I mean FUCKING DUH...I'm going to the bar to have some drinks...nothing you can do about it though...

Ugh... Bars are NOT public property. Bars are privately owned businesses. I have a major problem with this action, to invade a private business and arrest people who are minding their own business and not hurting a soul.

its also not public, being that 99% of the bars in texas require membership.
