I'd like to see us overhaul the whole site to a new look. Tim put something together quite some time ago which is awesome, and we never have had the time to implement it.

...I hear where you are coming from, Mel, but I think an update is better now than a total change in the look of our recognized logo. The TC with flames needs to stay in some way shape or form, but maybe the stuff around it needs to be overhauled?

I like the third one.. and I like the idea of more than one car so it shows we welcome more than one kind.. but instead of just a car.. what about something car related.. like a staging tree or a wheel doing a burnout or something like that? Otherwise.. I like the multiple car idea..

Werd. On the 1st banner though. The animated thing rocks! 3rd banner is my second choice.

But yeah, I would either like to see an fbody/new Camaro along with the new Mustang since both the fbody and stang both represent our little family.

If logistics make it too difficult to include 2 cars on the banner then I am with Trista's idea of just putting something car related in general.

As you can see, if I were to put one on the left side, I'd either have to shrink the "torquecentral.com" to see it. I had to put both cars on the right to see them clearly.

Also, I could add sounds to the flash ones :) Like and engine revving or something. Dunno if we want to go there or not...

I like the 1st design with both cars... animated flames.. it looks really cool flickering behind the camaro.. I like that one the best.. I also like how you added the slogan.. that's pretty nifty :D

Personally I like the last one #3

The animation is cool, but as a main banner for the site, I don't really want to make our visitors load a flash plugin just to view our main banner. Beleive it or not there are places (companies) out there that don't allow flash on the desktops. That and you can't have any alt text for flash, so search engines pretty much ignore anything flash based for indexing.

I'm with Baskett on that, (I chose the big flame with cars) however the animated flame one could incorporate a mini slide show of cars...

Doing that in flash is easy. And it would show a variety of vehicles, not just the camaro and mustang. Could put in a vette, charger, GTO, etc...

And there are ways in flash to make sure the search engines recognize the text. ;)

We could do a random banner. One with a different car. So each time you refreshed your page, you'd have a different banner. Same concept, just different cars.

We should definitely get together with the admins to discuss. Coding a page to do that using flash is a snap...but coding html/java/asp to do it isn't currently in my knowledge. I could find out though...

As far as the font goes, STOP font isn't the best legible font out there, I agree. And I can change it to whatever. I have about 400 fonts to choose from, so that's no big deal.
