I've been waiting for the past two months so see my spine surgeon, and I finally got in to see him today. My latest MRI showed that I have lost almost all height in the L1-L2 disc and it is dangerously close to being bone on bone. Like the last time I talked to him before the Work Comp carrier fucked me over, he still wants to do a fusion. This time he had a little more urgency in his voice, he really wants this to happen before more serious problems set in. I have been debating with myself if I wanted this to happen or not because i'm not in constant pain, but when I am hurting it is fairly bad. The doctor reminded me that in my first surgery that all the nerve endings were severed in that area, so i'm only feeling a fraction of what is actually hurting. I guess it all boils down to the insurance comapny cooperating with my surgeons requests. I hope that things work out better this go around, it would be nice to get this chapter in my life over with. I know for sure I will start sleeping better when I don't have to worry about all this shit constantly. :rantsw:

Man... back problems suck bro. My mother has fought this battle for over 10 years now, and never has gotten 100% better. I hope you get some relief this time around and get the medical care you need. Let me know if we can do anything for you, bro!

yea i know how you feel. on l4 and 5 each has a pars fracture and one has anoth crack in it. they say that if they do surgery that it will be hurting again by the time im 40. it hurts pretty much constantly. but u get used to it. its not real bad unless ive been lifting alot of heavy things all day. but it looks weird as all hell on an xray. one i barley hanging on the other one when i lean back. and that shits the reason i couldnt play football my junior or senior year. PISSED ME OFF.

man i wish I knew what to say to you guys.... back and neck problems suck, and it makes me wonder why i complain about the little problems that bother my back. I suppose me neck is more serious having to "pop" it all day..........
I hope for the best for you, that's for sure. When it comes to these things, I just wish the medical community could provide more positive answers to a lot of peoples problems.
you can count on the workmans comp. board to do one thing.... fuck you over with 1grit paper and no vasaline, oh yeah they wont even give you a reach-around. my mom fought with those assholes for 5 years for knee and back injuries.
