who on this board has seen this? It is absolute TRIPE, i lost 100 times more respect for them after this, i didnt respect them before this but the Doco just made it worst. They make it look like this extremely tough struggle to write that shitty ass amatuer sounding album, they basically look like a bunch of whiny babies waiting for a tit. its not bullshit, it is the origin of where bullshit comes froma and that my friends is tripe.\

Metallica hasn't put out anything worth listening to since the 80's. It doesn't surprise me that they put out something like that...

i always listened to megadeth anyways, i think they have always been a better band, they just dont get as much hype

Nobody rocked harder than Metallica in their day.. That is before they sold out.. I don't blame them really.. Nice to get paid..

peace sells, rust in peace, so far, so good..... so what, all way better albums than any of the metallica cd's, way better vocals and way better guitar playing, Gar Samuelson was a way better drummer. its just my opinion,

i wasnt offended at all. i often see people who know nothing of drums that think lars is awesome for some strange nonsensical reason, which prompted my response. ive never heard anything impressive from any megadeath drummer either though...

I don't know what you're smoking, but Lars is a bad ass drummer and very influential as was Metallica.

I think he was a decent drummer when he had two arms.. Def Leopard rocked on High and Dry and Pyromania.. Anything after he lost the arm sounded over produced with sythesized drums like a freaking drum machine.

You know what's funny is that before Metallica sold out and then the whole napster deal Lars was loved and considered one of the best drummers..

Now the guy does come across as a dick and is a cut throat business man. That has nothing to do with his playing.

I can't count how many Metallica shows I've been to since 1986.. He beats the hell out of the skins and is always on.. Very tight drummer.

Back in 1997 he almost ran into me when he was jogging (warm up) in downtown Fort Worth. Funny as hell.. Some TCU buddies and I were walking around a corner and there was Lars.. Funny as hell..

Any drummer that knows his shit will tell you that Lars jams..

You're entitled to your opinion; whether it's informed or not I don't know.. I'm wondering if some of the people in here aren't speaking out of their asses? It can't be from experience or musicianship.

i smoke the best, but regardless of that lars sucks. especially as far as metal goes, he leaves a lot to be desired. ive been playing drums for years and i can hardly listen to his ass anymore.

As far as mike portnoy goes, anyone in dream theater is going to have to be good...amazingly good, and i acknowledge that. as far as him being the best around, i shit all over that. there are so many great drummers with different strengths that its impossible to pick a "best" drummer.

i offered up bozzio because he uses the set like an orchestra of sorts....you have to see it to understand.
