I'm currently searching for an LS1 FD with the ultimate goal of installing either a single or twin turbo setup. Any vendors out there offer a turbo kit for an LS1 FD?

Hard to see...but this is a turbo LS1 FD that Hinson completed for a customer awhile back. I took this pic at Alabama International Dragway in Steele, AL. This car was running consistent 10.4x's on drag radials.

a remote mounted turbo setup like this is bolt on.. they do have there drawbacks (a little laggy).. but look at the video's on that site.. the one video is of a full sized Z71 pickup beating a firebird
pricey though

Hey, heres an idea......Why dont you tell us what kind of power you want to make an what your combo consists of. You dont need a pre made kit, just a well put together one. Post in the V8 section and modfy your question, youll find it is ALOT easier.

I think hinson is going to start selling a kit. Hes hoping to put down 1000+ hp with his shop car.
Do you have any info on your zo6? Sounds super bad ass... What do you do with it, drag, autox, roadrace? What does it run?

The car is just now coming together. I've taken it to the track to work out some bugs. Best time so far is 11.1 @ 137mph (first time on 17" ET Streets). I've made a few tweaks (methanol injection, new cam, new clutch) and will hopefully see 800rwhp @ 16psi once my new clutch is broken in. At the track, I will be shooting for low 10's @ 145+ mph with nothing but a change to 17" ET streets.

Hey I would love to pick your brain on your two different setups. If you have instant messenger that would work best, or we could always do PM's.

NO
I think the F-body kit can be made to fit. the cross member and mounting of the LS1 needs to be moved back to make room

Hinson Super Cars offers several turbo setups like what you're looking for.
From mild to W I L D. Hit them up (www.hinsonsupercars.com) . They can build it and built it right the first time!

i think the procharger setup would work for an LS1 FC... not FD tho... seems to be less front room :(

The procharger kit fot the GTO is what the guy at SNS had on his car its an FC though. All they had to do was bend the inner fender well in a little bit and it fit perfect.
