wheel locks

ok so this is not a very "technical" question.....but how do you get off the stupid wheel locks if you're missing the key :)

If you are willing to sacrafice a socket, get on that is about one size too small hammer it on there, then take it off normally

I've done what Joel mentioned many time successfully. you can also take it to a dealership and ask them to remove them.... I wasn't charged when I did this, but I also was not provided a key when I purchased the car either....

Go to discount tire, they'll sell you the right key. Much easier, save yourself the socket and the hammering. And they aren't that expensive, like $20 or so.

Well I tired to get a key from GM for my LT1...and the place I contacted stated they could not make a key for it, nor did they stock them...it was a GM only thing....that was for my LT1... now I HAVE a lock key for my LS1...dunno if it will work for yours or not...but we could try :D

GM tried to charge me like $70 bucks to get a new key. I needed to have my tires rotated anyway and went to NTB--they busted them off for me. Went to O'Reilly's and just got some regular lugs w/external threads so I could put that plastic lug cover back on...
