Since I'm up here in Chicago for 3 weeks, I decided to take my car out to a semi local drag track. The track sucked basicly. Traction was worse than at Denton when they didn't spray the track with VHT!! There was some decent traction off the line, but once the car got past the 60 foot mark, the tires would just lit up so I had to feather the gas quit a bit.

The best et run was a 14.0 @ 100 mph and the fastest mph run was a 14.3 @ 101.3 mph. This was with my boost set to 15 psi on my SRT-4, and that's the only modification. The temps outside were in the upper 50's with pretty high humidity(was having to run the defroster on those runs!) and my car was at full weight(spare tire was not even taken out). of around 3,050 pounds with me in the car

So, once I get back to Dallas, I'll be looking to make a trip down to Ennis so I can get some 13 second time slips! I'll be looking for some 13.8s or so.

Damn that is impressive!

What is the boost set at stock?

Factory boost varies, but int he D/FW area(because of the temps and altitude) boost was around 13-14 psi. Up here, because of the cooler temps, the boost was around 12-13 psi.

I finally made it to the track with my Monte Carlo SS today. Went to Maryland International Raceway for Test and Tune. Previous best time was 13.12@104.9 MPH. This was with a horrible 60 ft due to a LOW stall converter that was causing a nasty bog off the line. No changes were made other than swapping in a 3500 stall TCI converter. I didn't do any tuning, in fact I only made one pass. Reaction time was high (.820) because I haven't made many passes against the tree. 60 ft was 1.71, 1/8 mile was 8.01, 1/4 was 12.65@107.44 MPH. Weight with me in the car is 3780. Now all I need to do is tune the carb a bit and put the car (and myself) on a diet, and 11's are not just a fantasy anymore.
