Well i ran the T/A at the track last..and almost lost control and hit the wall..twice. Ran some shitty times..like..we won't even go into it...
Tractions fine when I take off. I did a burn out to get the water off my tires before staging, so it wasn't water on my tires. It fish tails slightly upon take off...then it corrects itself then when I punch it..it will fish tail to to left...and almost banked into the railguard. I had the TCS off both times. And i ran on both sides of the track. Not sure what's wrong. It was really embarrassing. B/c the 2nd time..when I almost hit the wall the whole crowd goes 'oohh.' My buddy in his LT1 Formula even slowed down b/c he said he saw in his rearview me coming across the track sideways.
My other friend wanted to run it..but I didn't trust the car so I didn't let him.
Anybody know what the problem could be?

Need more information...
Street Tires or Drag Radials?
...if street tries, I'd say that's your problem. If you went through the water box, you have water on your FRONT tires, which you lay down the track in front of the rear tires... Also, you are HURTING your traction by burning out street tires. Street tires HARDEN when you heat them up. NEVER BURN STREET TIRES, and DRIVE AROUND THE WATER BOX.
...that alone will help traction HUGELY.

If you're driving completely through the water box (ie. your front tires get wet too) they'll leave a water trail no matter if you burn out your rears. If you're running street tires, you don't go through the water at all if it can be avoided. All you want to do is spin them enough to clean them off. Never do a complete burn out on streets, you'll just make them slick.
Being on DR's is another story. On Nittos, you just want to back in to the water box, spin em a couple times, then do a burn out to heat em up.

My car drifted pretty bad on my last pass as well, but I also got my best 60' on the same pass.I used Hoosier dirt track tires at 13psi with an 8 sec. burn.
Where did you have the most of your problems at?Mine were past the 60' to the trap in the right lane, kinda scared me.

it was within the 60' b/c my 1/8th of a mile time was around 9 sec. :( :finger: And it doesn't do it all the time. I've tried punching it down my block and it doesn't do it, but last night in the wal mart parking lot i did it and it fishtailed badly. And it's always the left side that starts to drift....
My Z28 didn't do this at all...
And I've noticed something else in this car....it's very sensitive to bumps in the road. I really hate driving to dallas next to those cement barriers...b/c any slight dip or bump in the road that i hit will cause the car to swerve. My friend says he has the same problem in his WS6...

Drag Radials, Lower Control Arms, Panhard bar and some subframes.
...don't go to slicks, you'll bog the shit out of the car. Nitto drag radials and some rear end suspension upgrades, you'll have that car stuck to the track with no problems.

Now that sounds like a bad or broken shock causing that. Maybe a bad tire??
