i noticed the pages are now 25 long instead of 15? i like that change actually :cool: and i think something else is different but i can't...quite...place it (of course i may just be seeing things)

also how do the ratings work?

The stars next to a thread show the average of all the posters who have rated a thread. You have the option to rate a thread at the lower right of each thread whether or not you have replied to the thread. The ratings give people another way to decide which threads they might want to read. In our request future modifications forum, the ratings allow us to decide how urgent a change is or how much importance the posters place on the request.

Last night we upgraded to a new version of vBulletin so you may notice many changes. Please root around the site and post up if you find anything that isn't working correctly. :)

No the birthday thing doesn't count. :stick: We still have a major version upgrade to do and I believe that's the one that will fix the birthday glitch.

The rate a thread feature has been around for a long time, however alot of posters weren't using the feature. :dunno:

but i think its kind of a pain to use as is.....if there was some way to incorporate a quick little rating selection into the post reply form, i think a lot more people might use it... :think:

It is a drop down selection when you use the post a reply button however it is not currently an option on the quick reply on the bottom of the thread.

you know what i would like added, instead of the stars rating thing.. i vote for the mouse over pop-up on the thread.. that is a really cool function to see wether i'm gonna read it.. umm i mean, i read them all. ;)

I know I requested that a looooong time ago in the feature request forum... I think someone said they'd look into it.. maybe we should start another thread in there and have a poll ;)

It is one of the hacks we are looking at when we finally finish upgrading to the newest version of vBulletin. Don't worry we haven't forgotten about the requests :)
