I'd like to cook out again, but with the Baskett's being out of town that weekend, therefore making the support vehicle (the mini van) unavailable, I have no way to get the grill out there I don't think. I'll have the canopy and at least one cooler that will fit in the stang. I may have to go back to our usual sandwiches at Ennis instead. :) Donations are welcome, thank for the offer. Just see me at the event. :D

That's great Joel. Can you swing by on Saturday to pick it up since I don't think you want to meet up at my place before the caravan, that would mean getting up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early. ;) So long as we can get the grill out there again, I'll make the run to Sam's to pick up burgers, dogs & buns. :)

Joel
03-11-2003, 11:14 AM
Sure, I can pick it up or I have a easily portable grill I can bring..

chetta
03-11-2003, 11:27 AM
That works too. If you can bring the grill, I'll bring the fixin's :) I know I can handle the canopy and 2 coolers in the vert. :)

Joel
03-11-2003, 11:37 AM
Sounds good... Is there acces to 120 volt outlets aroud there? I though about bringing the compressor if people need to swap tires quickly, or adjust tire presuure easily...

I know that I said you could count on me for this one, but I was wrong. Due to some very serious personal issues that have arisen, I won't be able to make it to this race. In fact, it is unlikely that I will be able to make it to any of the races or other events for the forsee-able future.:(

I guess this means I'm driving the support vehicle!! :D

WOOHOO!!! Do we need window chalk? I've got an unopened stick of that!

Chetta, is the helmet requirement 13.0 for this challenge only? I thought Ennis was 13.9 requires a helmet? Please correct me if I'm wrong :)

03-11-2003, 07:32 PM
I believe anything under 14 requires a helmet.

if that is all that is keeping you from coming that's a poor excuse because you know i have an extra helmet you can use so now you don't have any excuses not to show up and have some fun .

chetta
03-11-2003, 11:08 PM
TMCCC website says 13.0 and faster requires a helmet. We all know Ennis can be sticklers about tech though  I'll try to call out there tomorrow to confirm.

I have a chalk stick and the shoe polish from last week. It can't hurt to bring another one though. :)

Ken, Joel's driving my car, and we're hoping to be in King Muscle, (ie breaking 12.9) the car has never been run modded. The stock number was 13.5. Now it has Hooker Long Tubes, ORY, Borla, Whisper Lid, Maft, and some suspension stuff. Thank goodness for those nice heavy duty brakes too!! :) But there's a chance it'll be Super depending on what time trials we do with Joel driving it. He thinks that we'll be running 13.2s... :dunno:

ken cryder
03-12-2003, 08:45 PM
that's great make him think positive i like the way 12.9 sounds myself . as long as you are there that's what counts .

ken:yeah:

30birdy
03-12-2003, 09:16 PM
Hehehe.. actually Ken, I'M the one saying 12.9, JOEL is the one saying 13.3 :) But we'll take what we can get. Joel hasn't driven an A4 at the track much so we may be better sticking in the 13 class and letting off at the end so as not to break the bracket  :D

PS: I have a helmet, it's a little tight on Joel but he's borrowing Matt's so I'll bring mine if someone needs one :)

chetta
03-13-2003, 12:02 AM
No prob Joel, I'll grab Baskett's helmet tomorrow after work and leave it in my car. :)

Mark aka 1bad6 & I are working on getting a driver, hopefully Willie, to take his daily driver, the Taurus down the track. :D If Willie has found his own car or isn't able to make it, maybe 'Chele can drive the Taurus?

People who haven't checked in yet but usually will race: Ray - rw'z28, Devon - 00SS, Andi - Kubra, Sonny, Willie and Aaron.

Like I said we are trying to get with Willie to have him drive the Taurus. Andi still has a broken foot so most likely won't make it and Sonny's car is still out of commission. I'd like to hear from Devon and Ray and Aaron. I'll talk to Aaron tonight.

Come on guys, get your friends to come out. :D We need those putz's Jamie & Kyle to come race. :stick:

I'm in, barring some kind of disaster (read: hangover). I have a wedding to go to in Wichita Falls on Saturday, but should be back by bedtime.

Will there be a "community" helmet or do I need to try to scrounge one up?

It really depends on how many cars start off and whether or not there are any crashes causing delays. Last year at Ennis there were two boom bitches which caused delays so the awards weren't done being handed out until 8:30 or 9pm.
