Ok guys it's a new season and everyone has moved around a bit since last year. We need suggestions for a caravan starting point for Kennedale. We can make multiple stops if that would be easier to keep people from backtracking. :)

Just like last year we will have the canopy as well as drinks coolers, snacks and sandwiches. Donations for keeping the coolers stocked are always welcome. ;)

Things you should consider bringing:

A chair, though we sometimes have some extras floating around.
A jack
Tools
Spare parts for those of you who break things...(not mentioning any names. ;) )

Again with most of these things there are usually some floating around and we help each other change tires and whatnot. It's definitely a family outting so feel free to bring the family with you. :) The more the merrier.

I've never been to Kennedale, how long of a drive is it? Let's have the meeting point somewhere on the way...ie in the direction towards Kennedale...

Kennedale is south of Fort Worth near I-20 & 287. From the Plano/North Dallas area you guys are probably going to want to head out I-35 to I-20. Mapquest says it's faster for us out in Keller to head down Loop 820 to 287.

Suggestions for someplace to meet up centrally would be helpful. We can always have two caravans and have the final meet up at the track.

Maybe we can meet around Grapevine Mills Mall area?

Ok, checking back threads, we meet at the IHoP at 635 & Josey for the last two events at Kennedale. That seemed to have the least amount of backtracking for people. We will leave the IHoP no later than 8am to make it for the 9am gate opening. I'll be getting there early so I can eat breakfast. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. :)

So who all plans on meeting at the IHoP? I would like to get a head count so we don't leave without everyone. Call my cell number on Sunday if you miss the caravan, 214-728-8788.

Most of the group will hang out until everyone is eliminated, but once you are eliminated you don't have to stick around if you have someplace to be. It's hard to just how long we'll be there, it depends alot on how many cars there are entered. If time trials start on time at 9:30 am I'm guessing eliminations will start sometime between 11am and noon. We'll probably be at the track until at least 5pm more likely later since this is the first event of the season and there is usually a big turn out.

Im racing!! Sorry for the delay in responding..

Wait for me at IHOP!! I didnt know Josey crossed 635?? I will call ahead... someone might have to order me some food for the road!
I will be hungry, coming off my 13 hour shift!

PS... I will be granny driving the track due to:

Still hosed tranny....
still burnt clutch....
freshly hosed shocks...
not so steady alignment..
cracked windshield...
crunched nose...
EGR going out (?Keep getting codes?)...

But I got New Tires!! and all that, while pretty shitty, shouldnt keep me from passing tech! :D

it would be great if one of you guys could bring out a digi camera! i don't have one and that would probably be the only way i could get some pics of my car on the net! see you there, - brien

I'm bringing my camera, I think Scott is bringing his and Baskett might be bringing his. :) We may even have a video camera too. :D

Ken, if you get there before us, try to find a good spot that we can all be together. Looks like we'll have around 14 racers and several spectator vehicles too. We have a canopy to set up once we all get there. :D
